Dear pro Fit users

We have just released the third public beta of pro Fit 6.2.0. It can be downloaded from

http:/www.quansoft.com/beta.html

Beta 3 brings some minor new features and various bug fixes over beta 2, many of which were based on your feedback. A list of some of the changes is appended below. So please do keep that feedback flowing: send it to profit at quansoft.com

Note: This beta version is only available to users who have purchased pro Fit 6.1. The final version of pro Fit 6.2 will be free for anyone who purchased pro Fit 6.1 since January 1, 2010. Upgrades will be available for all other current 6.1 users.

Best regards

Some changes between B2 and B3:

* Python: pf.GetData now supports an additional, named argument, skipInvalidRows. If this is set to True and a range of rows is specified in the first argument, pro Fit returns an array where the empty rows are skipped.

* Python: The '## program' and '## function' directives now accept a second argument that can be an arbitrary string and that, if given, is used as the name in the Func or Prog menu.

* Added a property shapeID to the shape class. It can be retrieved from shape objects in Python and AppleScript. In Pascal, it can be retrieved through GetShapeProperty.

* Pascal and Python: In most pro Fit functions that can be called from scripts, rgb color components are now expressed with a range of 0…1, not 0… 65535, but those functions that formerly accepted components between 0…65535 will assume that any color value larger than 1 has to be divided by 65535, so backwards compatibility is maintained.

* Updated all example files. Most scripts are now provided in Python and Pascal.

* Various bug fixes and performance improvements.
